• 2019-202 The Nave redevelopment compleat bears fruit (7 photos)

  In 2019 the flooring was completed by addition of the newly approved carpet, allowing us to use the building in many new ways The pictures here show come of this including during the 2020-2021 pandemic

  

• Church heating and new floor project (13 photos)

  The new heating system was installed in the church at the start of 2016, including a new boiler and many new radiators making it a warmer more inviting building. The old floor was repaired, levelled and a new carpet laid

  

• Experience Easter 2015 (6 photos)

  Several stations around the church depicting various stages of the Passion story (from cross to resurrection)

  

• Hedge laying (8 photos)

  A team of hedge layers from the Derbyshire Conservation Volunteer Group and volunteer helpers from St Michael's are working on the blackthorn hedges around the church grounds to improve their appearance.

  

• Taylor's Bell Foundry (8 photos)

  Members of St Michael's Church went on a visit to tour the Taylor's Bell Foundry.

  

• Experience Easter 2014 (11 photos)

  The church was open each day of Holy Week with displays depicting stages of the Easter Story.

  

• Harvest festival 2013 (23 photos)

  A festival of fruit, fruit, flowers and fun. The church was beautifully decorated with many flowers, vegetable people were appearing, a mouse trail quiz to be followed and food in abundance. A great thank you to all who made it possible and to those who came to visit the church.

  

• Jollies at the canal (3 photos)

  St Michael's Jollies had a day out at the canal sharing drinks and cakes

  

• Elvis rock gospel concert (19 photos)

  Launch of the church re-development project on 25 January 2013

  

• Experience Christmas 2012 (6 photos)

  Local school children came in to learn about the Christmas story by visiting a number of stations around the church depicting different scenes from the birth of Jesus.

  Children from Alvaston Junior School spent the day in church where members of the congregation talked to them about Easter and helped them to understand the meaning of the Easter story through the use of various displays.
